LVNDNSEA is a fresh face in the scene, excited to bring new ideas to the table and add a fresh perspective to the EDM community. Coming in hot, Landon just played his first live shows recently, and is already dropping a new single TOMORROW (3/29)!

LVNDNSEA is a clever word play using his real name, Landon, but with a much deeper twist. Land-and-sea represents the duality of life–and of his music. The land–representing entropy, passion, and the power to make change–sonically dives into higher energy genres like riddim. The sea represents our deeper connection with everything and the higher levels of existence; it is the flowy, deep bass, & emotional tracks. Together, they create LVNDNSEA’s perfect vision.

“I think about it like a sailor navigating the sea: You can feel completely lost and alone, but you can never lose your connection with the ocean, the sea that links us all. The sea of consciousness."

This duality is a huge theme for Landon in his art, but he also wanted to remind us that, “Duality can be an illusion, differences don’t mean we’re separate…just that we’re unique.”

His music represents just that: the blending of diverse sonic landscapes. "It breaks the illusion of duality by creating spaces that reveal the flow state of seemingly opposing genres." If that doesn't have you sold on the authenticity and intention behind the project, I'm not sure what will.

The single originally started as a school project in his Music Business class, but he says it’s the perfect timing in his artist’s journey for a debut. Additionally, the stars even align with his release. It's at the beginning of the Spring Equinox, Aries season, & the beginning of the true lunar new year.

Space Maker  is also a fitting name for his new track, as it perfectly matches his intentions to shake up the current status quo of the scene. Through not only his music, but the spaces he creates, he wants to revitalize the EDM realm in a way that feels:

“inviting, open, and welcoming…. allowing the cultivation of new sounds, cultures,

and just an overall sense of strong community. EDM is perfect for this, because it’s so

sonically diverse. So many different kinds of people can share a space, but have the

underlying ‘sea’ connection.”

It's worth noting that he only recently started taking producing seriously and released a track with impeccable mixing, mastering, and production. The debut single itself is a 140 BPM deep dub track with elements of fluid melodies next to punchier and bouncy bass (It's also 2 minutes and 22 second--of course). The first thing you'll hear is the sound of water, reflective of the cover of the album, and fitting for LVNDNSEA's overall direction. Pictured is a single drop of water creating massive ripples in a pool. Exactly what he hopes to do with his path: create profound change with the simple act of making space.

As you can see Landon is able to connect his goals as an artist, the themes in his music, and his intentions as an Athenian space maker into a cohesive idea. And this is just the beginning of his road ahead as an artist, looking forward to an EP in the coming year.
